Your donation goes directly to funding care packages for our deployed troops. Each care package — filled with a HUG cooling tie, hygiene items, snacks, and "tastes of home" — costs approximately $50, including shipping. The HUGS Project of Elkhart is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; your contribution may be tax-deductible.

We always welcome physical donations of care package items. Common favorites include:
- Travel-size hygiene products (soap, shampoo, lotion, deodorant)
- Protein bars and individual snack packs
- Magazines and books (gently used)
- Cooling neck ties or bandanas
- Polymer crystals for making HUGs
- Sand-colored cotton fabric
